Fuchsia mania – Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Plum Plum Girl – review and swatches

I was so excited to see that Bourjois had released 4 new shades of their amazing liquid lipstick – Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet.

The collection is called the Fuchsia Edition and it offers 4 variations of fuchsia (red, pink, blue and purple) in very fall/winter appropriate shades (click here to view the entire collection).

My favorite shade from the collection is Plum Plum Girl – a beautiful and very wearable purple.   The shade looks amazing with my medium skin tone and makes my teeth look brighter!

If you haven’t used Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks before they are quite similar to the famed NYX Soft Matte lip creams.  However,  I find that these are much easier to apply than the NYX lip creams.  The texture is more smoother and the formula does not dry out my lips (the way most long wearing lip colours do).

The lasting power is around 4-5 hours, depending on whether you eat or drink. And even then I am left with a super flattering light pink hue on the lips.

This has a slight chemical smell which might not suit those of you with sensitive noses but thankfully it fades very quickly (it does not have any taste though).

If you are not a liquid lipstick fan, the Fuchsia Edition collection also contains 4 new shades of Rouge Edition lipsticks (with 4 variations of fuchsia).  I have my eye on the lipstick from the purple collection – Violin Strass (I have trouble resisting purple lip products :D).

Have you tried any the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks? Which is your favorite shade?

Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!
