Who doesn’t love a multi-tasking product ? With all the clutter I carry around in my handbag, anything that does double duty is a winner with me. The Body Shop Wild Argan Miracle Solid oil for body & hair is one of my favorite, do it all champions that’s always in my bag !
When The Body Shop’s Wild Argan range was launched in Dubai it created quite a stir. People who used it were raving about it and every time I went to their stores the range was out of stock.
The products I really wanted to try were the miracle solid oil and the dry oil spray. It took me a couple of months to find a store that carried the full range. While the oil spray felt lovely on my skin, I wasn’t sure if it would work on my hair. But when I tried the solid oil on my winter dried out hands (this was during January, where even Dubai gets cold !), I loved how quickly it moisturised them. And at 45AED for a 50g tin, it seemed like a bargain, so it went on my basket.
The packaging looks exactly like a giant lip balm tin and is quite easy to open. The solid oil has a gorgeous, golden hue and looks very much like hair wax ! The solid balm melts under the heat of your fingers and becomes a dry oil and can be used on your body, hands , lips & hair. Unlike some other balms, this sinks in the skin in seconds and leaves no sticky residue.
I use it a lot on my hands and it’s excellent at moisturising dry cuticles. I also use it at times to smooth over my frizzy hair (I have very curly hair, that’s always thirsty for moisture ). But it might not suit everyone’s hair though. I use it on my lips too whenever I don’t have a lip balm with me. While it’s great at keeping lips moist, the floral taste takes a bit getting used to. It’s great worn over lip stains – adds a slight gloss without removing the colour.
Since you need a very small amount each time, one pot will last you a long time (I’ve been using this for a couple of months but my tin still looks quite full).
If you have a sensitive nose, test this before buying. All the products in the Body Shop Argan oil range has a strong floral scent (a little similar to the scent of Monoi oil ) that might be off-putting to some.
This little (big) tin would be a great product to take with you on holiday too. Just make sure not to leave it anywhere too hot or it might melt!
I am curious to try some other products from the Body Shop Wild Argan range, so are there any products you recommend?
Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!

They should have it. It’s usually displayed with the Body butter. If your hands are really dry, try using Burts Bees hand stuff (review coming soon). This is great to use frequently but won’t deeply moisturiser them..

Then the Argan body butter should work for you too. They had a lovely gift set sometime back with all the products for around 160AED.
That’s too bad but we only get a small selection of Burts Bees (only 2-3 starter kits) here too.

I’ve never even noticed this at The Body Shop! Sounds really fantastic – I’m going to have to test it out at the store! Thanks for bringing this to my attention! 😊

You are welcome 🙂
Even at the store this seems almost hidden away – next to the Argan body butter. And the SA ‘s don’t really push the product .

I love the scent too! Ah, really? Sounds like it’s a best seller in Oman! I think here it’s a bit neglected as everyone either gets the oil,the body butter or the shower gel from the range..
