This week I was lucky enough to be invited for a blogger event organized by the lovely Sarah of opinionated girl at the Beauty Connection Spa (the largest day spa in the world, according to the Guinness world records ).
As some of you may know , I am very new in the blogging world and I was overjoyed to get this invite (cue lots of jumping for joy It was such an amazing experience chatting and getting to know some very prominent ladies of the Dubai blogging community. I admit I was quite intimidated to meet some of them but everyone was so very friendly. Some were even kind enough to pass on some blogging wisdom to this messy haired blogger !
At the end of the evening, we were treated to a goody bag filled with lots of lovely goodies. There were some products from new brands I’ve never tried and some from my favorite brands, so expect a lot of reviews on them in the coming weeks.
Upon arrival I was whisked away to the spa’s spacious manicure/pedicure lounge otherwise known as the ‘Red nail avenue’ and given a choice of a mani or a pedi. After I choose a manicure I was given a special massaging chair so I could relax while the nail technician worked her magic on my hands. She was so was very friendly and so meticulous and the whole process (which included a divine hand massage !) took about 45 minutes. I had a very hard time selecting a shade from the enormous wall of nail polishes and in the end went with an inky purple shade from KOKO ( Black Iris – 119). Afterwards, my nails looked so great I can’t stop looking at them !
After the manicure we were given a quick tour of the spa by the spa’s bubbly marketing manager, Ms.Aubray Dinio. The spa has a quirky, modernist design and is divided in to six sections via function (with a colour scheme to match).
- Red nail Avenue (Red)
- Hair-a-cut (Orange)
- Facial room (Green)
- Hammam (Blue)
- i-Brows (Purple)
- Wax district (Yellow)
Each section offers a vast number of services with a unique vending machine concept where the customer can purchase a disposable kit for each service (ex- for a manicure you buy the clippers, manicure scissors etc).
The spa is enormous and has a minimalistic but luxurious feel to it. The staff is friendly, courteous and very well trained. But the most unique thing about this place is that you don’t need to make a prior appointment for any of the services ! So Dubai ladies, if you need to get glam in a hurry this is the place to go.
I am so glad to have found this amazing place and I am planning another visit (we got a 15% discount voucher for our next visit !).
This being my first blogger event, I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to meet all gorgeous ladies I’ve met once again. A huge thank you to Sarah for organizing this wonderful event and for inviting me !
Thanks a lot for reading and please do like and comment if enjoyed this post.
