Blemish Buster – The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion Review

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion
The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion

In my third post on the Body Shop Tea Tree range, I am talking about the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion.  This is marketed as a night lotion with a blend of tea tree and tamanu oils that treat blemishes while helping to fade post breakout marks.

Out of all the products in the Tea Tree range this was the product I was most excited to use. Thanks to genetics I have skin that scars very easily and no matter how I treat my acne I am always left with ugly red/purple blemish marks that takes a long time to heal. And I have yet to meet a foundation or a concealer that can cover those monsters. Because of this I am such a sucker for any thing that promises fade scars/blemishes. While I am happy with the results of the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution I am more partial to a product that helps heal acne as well as fading blemishes (and much more cheaper than Kiehl’s).

This comes in a 30ml pump bottle and has a lightweight, gel texture. And it has an intense tea tree oil which might put off some people. I use this every other day (I alternate the Tea Tree range with Proactive). I don’t like to use a toner at night so I wash my face with the foaming cleanser and then pat this on to my slightly damp face. I feel it absorbs much better this way. This feels very soothing and healing on the skin and it leaves my skin moist but not oily. With regular use (4 months) my acne marks seem less red and are fading very slowly. At times when I have angry, red cystic acne this somehow helps to shrink them a little and helps relive the redness. And, most importantly this did not my face to breakout.

In my opinion this is a great night time treatment for oily, problematic skin. It moisturizes skin while healing pimples. Remember, it might take a while to see the blemish fading action but be patient and stick with it (it’s your face, not a stain on the floor! ).

The 30ml bottle may look small but I only need 2/3 pumps to cover my face and it lasted for about 4 months. It costs around 55AED and is available at all Body Shop stores across U.A.E.

Thank you for reading and please do ask me if you have any questions about this post or about my skin care routine.

    1. Hi Raksha, Thanks a lot ! As a new blogger your comments mean a lot to me.
I bought the whole range at full value. But the body shop do have sales from time to time and I’ve seen the full tea tree range on sale (25% off). If you live in the U.A.E. I suggest following their FB page for sale updates. Hope this helps and please ask if you have any more questions 🙂
